Many of my friends and family know that having plants has become one of my favorite hobbies! I love being surrounded by nature outside of my home and inside.
It wasn't until about 5 or 6 years ago, when we moved back to our hometown in Florida, that I became interested in having a flower garden or in-home potted plants.
I went through a major upgrade in my healing process during our time in Florida, and tending to plants became a way of healing for me. It became therapeutic.
There's something about digging into fresh soil and the smell of earth, the greenery, and the array of beautiful colors that gives me such joy and peace.
This is a hobby I enjoy all year round, and it is one that I intentionally do not stress over. I take care of my plants, and I treat them like they're my family, but I refuse to allow it to become a chore or a burden.
They're such a precious gift to me. I look forward to taking care of them, pacing out my day, enjoying their presence, giving them love.
One of the other hobbies that I enjoy is crochet. Whenever I have free time, like the quarantine time we all had earlier this year, I make things. I love being crafty! I find YouTube videos of projects I want to do.
The patterns below came from watching a few YouTube tutorials.
